Penfolds Club Tawny began its life in 1950 as “Penfolds Five Star Tawny Port”. During the 1960s Penfolds invested heavily in print media with Wine Talk, a column that promoted a wine and food culture in Australia’s national newspapers. Club Tawny was offered as an ideal ending to a meal.
This bouquet shows typical fresh, floral, herbaceous & grassy characters with a touch of tropical fruit. Medium-bodied & elegant with lively citrus & gooseberry notes. The finish is long & elegant with a crisp finish.
