Varietal Pinot Noir Rosé
Style A trip to the lolly shop
Our Notes

Pale, aromatic & floral in the style of the Provençal rosés that inspired, this Adelaide Hills gem finishes dry with a mouthwatering acidity.

Some really intriguing notes in there - we detect the fairly standard rosé raspberry ones, but also perhaps a hint of artificial banana.

Winemakers Comments

An intriguing wine, firstly boasting a pale salmon colour, closely mimicking the fine Rose wines made out of Provence, France. Like a kid in a candy shop, the Saint and Scholar Rose shows mouth-watering Strawberry and Creams, along with sweet confectionary and fresh summer Raspberries.

All the hallmarks of a quality Rose. One does notice a spring flower, almost herbal note, along with a crunchy core that opens up and draws you in. The palate is fresh and exciting, with juicy strawberries and summer fruits playing hero. Racy acidity ensures the wine stays crisp from the get go, with an appealing creamy note adding much approved texture and control.

Finishes a savoury dry, that enhances drinkability. Serve nice and cold, to experience the full gamut of possibilities this Rose has to offer.

About the Winery

The Saint and the Scholar are winemakers Stephen Dew and Reid Bosward respectively, nicknamed for their friendly and thoughtful dispositions respectively.

The recent establishment of a cellar door at Adelaide Hills fine dining institution Maximillian’s has provided the growing operation with a spectacular public face and the opportunity for all sorts of unusual promotions – Pinot & Pilates is postponed for now, but what an idea!

J’adore Jacob’s Creek Le Petit Rose’

Jacob’s Creek Le Petit Rosé is an absolute delight for anyone who appreciates a well-crafted, sophisticated rosé. From the moment the bottle is opened, the fresh aroma of summer fruits, like strawberries and raspberries, fills the air, inviting you to take that first sip.

The palate is perfectly balanced—light and crisp with just the right touch of sweetness. It has a refreshing acidity that keeps it lively, making it an ideal choice for warm afternoons or as a versatile companion to a variety of dishes. Whether paired with seafood, a charcuterie board, or enjoyed on its own, it consistently delivers.

What I love most about Le Petit Rosé is its elegance and subtlety. It’s not overpowering or overly fruity but rather offers a refined blend of flavors that linger pleasantly. The pale pink hue adds an aesthetic charm, making it as visually appealing as it is delicious.

For the price, Jacob’s Creek has truly outdone itself with this rosé. It’s a wine that feels luxurious without being heavy on the wallet. If you’re looking for something to impress guests or simply treat yourself, Le Petit Rosé is a perfect choice. Highly recommended!

It’s slightly sweet but perfectly balanced, with a crisp, clean finish that leaves you wanting more. This rosé has a modern twist that feels bold yet approachable, making it ideal for casual sipping or pairing with light appetizers and desserts.

Magnificent

A chameleon of a wine. I don't know whether it's the plethora of varieties involved but so far it has paired well with every kind of food I have tried it with.
