Our Notes
This blend of 85% Syrah, 11% Carignan, and 4% Grenache is sourced from the Tarraford and Sexton Vineyards in the Yarra Valley. The Syrah, predominantly the Red Dog 67 clone unique to Tarraford, imparts a special perfume. Each variety is fermented separately in small open vats with varying degrees of whole bunch and whole berry fermentation, then matured in large and small oak for 18 months. The final blend is inspired by the fresh, delicious early-drinking reds produced in Australia's cool regions.
