Our Notes
Pouring a pleasantly orange pale, this light & lively “Purveyor” Pinot from Golding brings cherry fruit, orange marmalade on rye toast, a subtly brambly tannin structure and a gingerbread spiciness.
Earthy, too, but rainforest earth. “Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir” is a hell of a brand and one Golding could sell on by itself, but there’s a load of personality here.
Winemakers Comments
Light and bright in colour and big in personality, this Pinot has lifted aromas of cherry and toasted spice, with bright berry flavours and a hint of earthiness on the palate. Soft tannins and a savoury finish complete the story of this young and vibrant wine.
About the Winemaker
Though the Golding family have been active in the world of wine in various capacities for three generations now, it wasn't until 2002 that the Golding Wines brand was launching. Based out of a sandstone cellar door in the Adelaide Hills, the family's deep knowledge of their craft is reflected in the choice to plant a few often-overlooked varietals, dornfelder and savagnin among them.
