From Mitchell’s Sevenhill vineyard, an elegantly structured example of a regional specialty. Structured, with bright acidity and ripe tannin, plenty of concentrated blackberry and coriander happening. Hand-picked and estate-bottled.

A wine of history and focus produced in the old-fashioned claret style on a vineyard that surrounds our homestead. A sentimental favourite, this is a wine that continues get better with age.
About the Winery
With a gorgeous stone cellar-door building, a long history, and a enviable spot in quintessential South Australian wine territory, one could be forgiven for pre-judging Mitchell as stodgy. Quite the contrary, of course - they were among the first to adopt organic farming and biodynamic techniques, and while sticking to classic Clare Valley varietals there's always an element of innovation to the tradition.
