Warramate stretches back to 1970, and brings forth fruit from non-irrigated vines. It’s under the stable of Yarra Yering these days of course.

This is delicious drinking, bristling with acidity, squeaky texture, vigorous citrusy freshness. Scents of stainless steel, green apple, wet fern. Flavours of lime on green apple, faint talc-like nature to texture, a core of pin-point acidity stretching long. Neat and tidy, fresh and frisky. Nicely done.

Our Notes

August, classic, even highly sensible. Classic green Cab Sav notes of Granny Smith and steamed broccoli here, the requisite plum pucker, and an iron fist in a velvet glove of a tannin structure. From hand-tended and naturally-irrigated vines, but think nothing-but-the-best luxury rather than a back-to-nature hippie approach.
