Our Notes
Named for the vicious Corryvreckan whirlpool not too far from Islay, this cask-strength monster of a whisky is nearly as intimidating as its namesake at cask strength with lashings of peat smoke. Those who dare to dive in will discover notes of salt, lemon, black pepper and mocha coffee over a strong grounding of tarry peat. On the dry side for Ardbeg, which perhaps spoils the whirlpool analogy.
Named for the Traigh Bhan ("singing sands") beach on Islay.

Ardbeg Corryvreckan 700ml takes its name from the famous whirlpool that lies to the north of Islay, where only the bravest souls dare to venture. Swirling aromas and torrents of deep, peaty, peppery taste lurk beneath the surface of this beautifully balanced dram.
Intense and powerful, like the whirlpool itself, Corryvreckan is not for the faint-hearted! Matured in ex-bourbon and French oak casks, teasing spicy and sumptuous sweet fruity notes, heady and deep with a long finish.
